I dream all the time. And I mean, all. the. time. Daydreams, night dreams, envisioning, painting, believing, trusting…you name it, I’ve dreamt it.

This could be viewed negatively, but I really only see it in a positive light. I kind of feel like this way of “thinking” shifts my perspective, or allows me to see the world differently. Honestly, I feel some of these dreams in my heart so intensely, that they tend to make their way past my thought-life and into my prayer-life. Maybe that’s the crazy thing…I actually believe these things can happen.

Surrender. That’s what it is, really. Palms up, hearts open, trusting that God will take these little pea-thoughts of mine and turn them into something magnificent for Him. Sure, maybe it’s not the dreams of me taking my “Freedom Airline” private-jet and allowing all my friends and family to travel to see each other. Or, simply allow me to grab a cup a coffee with a friend across the globe and fly all the way back in the same day. Can you imagine? How many times are we like, “oh man, I so wish I could just come and have a cup of coffee with you right now.” What if we actually could? In that moment! What if I could let you borrow my private jet, and allow you to do the same? Anyway, that may never come true. Unless God wants it to. Unless it’s a part of the plan He has for me, or for you, as my friend. Unless He decides to take that jet and turn it into global mission opportunities, or simply to reach one lost soul for the Kingdom. He can do anything! All I know is I want to join Him in that work. The work that He is doing around me, all day, everyday.

I love to reflect on all God has done through our lives thus far, and imagine all that He has yet to do. Reflecting is harder for me, than imagining, but really – how will God be glorified through our story? Through your story? What’s our perspective, and how is it changing and growing through the circumstances in our lives? Are you stuck, or are you shifting? Have you thought about these circumstances being from God, as something He’s showing you? Molding you? Growing you?

He’s very specifically called me to motherhood. In a unique (and seemingly impossible) way that I really don’t understand yet. But, He will provide it, and bring it to my attention in His time. I believe that with all of my heart. So, I will continue with what I know. The simple stuff. Reading my Bible, seeking Him, loving him with all my heart, praying and talking to Him throughout my days. Some of these days are truly mundane and just hard to big-picture dream. But other days, I’m so inspired, I think I’ll burst into a galaxy-worth of stars. Either way, He is there with me. There in the mundane, when I just need to continue to be obedient – even though it’s not fun. And He’s there smiling with me, and laughing at the ridiculous thought-trails I go down.

Thank you, Lord. I pray that my view of you is not small. A.W. Tozer says, “What comes into your mind when you think about God is the most important thing about you.” You are a BIG God. A powerful God. An all-knowing God. Nothing goes unnoticed. You know every hair on my head, and if you care about that, and you care about feeding all the birds on the planet, then you must care about what’s on my heart, too. Perhaps you’ve placed them there for such a time as this. Help me to not miss a Kingdom assignment because I’m too caught up in my own personal kingdom. Your will and Your purpose, ahead of my own. Give me courage. I believe in you, Lord. I will do what you say, when you say it. And it won’t even be me doing it – it will be you working through me. I pray the world sees it, too. Amen!
