Well, since I’m not quite prepared to show you our home from last night’s episode on HGTV, I figured I would show you a part of the other home that was featured, that I helped design, style and photograph!

This dining room is formal, yet totally playful and relaxed. It’s polished like new leather shoes, but continually gets better with age. Especially when it’s surrounded  by the cutest little family of four you ever did see.

Julie’s style aesthetic is modern glam, complimented with zen. Basically, if Jonathan Adler and Emily Henderson had a baby, it’d be Julie.

For the built-ins, we decided to mix a lot of fun, old books that we thrifted together at estate and garage sales. Then we accented them with planters from West Elm, accessories from CB2, and Anthropologie. We designed the living room (coming soon!) to lean a lot more towards the modern glam, but of course, didn’t shy away from incorporating rattan, natural wood tones, live greenery and fur.
