I realized it’s been a while since I’ve added anything to the Wanted column, which is funny, because I can think of lots of things I want.
Today, and literally everyday, it’s a studio space. I’ve dreamt of having a studio for as long as I can remember. I think it would be so cool to have a designated spot that you don’t have to clean up and put everything away after each little project because for some reason you get out your supplies to paint a portrait and you look around and your whole house is destroyed. How does that even happen??
I know, I know, I would still have to clean up the studio after each project, but at least it would all be right there.
And, obviously, that is not my only reason why I would love to have an office.
I want to collaborate.
I want to have a designated space where crazy fun events are held either by me, or people within the community! I want to host workshops for local creatives where I would bring-in other businesses (florals, eats, styling props, etc) to help curate the event and get themselves out there. If I’m ever “succeeding,” I want to bring others with me.
I want to have a space for photoshoots. Whether for me, or others, I want a space that other designers/photographers can come in and let their imaginations run wild. Oh, and with a ton of accessible props available for styling.
I also just want to run a successful business in the space. I would have a designated office where I can close the door, write, read, talk, paint – whatever I need to do to keep things running smoothly. As of right now, it would be a business filled with services, and somehow, someday, lead to the production (of awesome things) realm. I probably don’t even need a door.
White walls (preferably brick), large/exposed ceilings, floor to ceiling windows…bright, open, airy. Just a simple palatte ready to be filled with beautiful things.
What about you? What are you currently craving? Is it something I can help with?
Perhaps your interested in the same thing and want to collaborate on an event?
